My name is Louise and I am a Brazilian who describes herself as a citizen of the world. I have always been fascinated by the world at large and had the urge to explore it. Maybe that’s expected from someone who grew up in a melting pot of cultures, habits, music and languages. As a typical Brazilian, I have a multicultural background, including Arab, Spanish, Portuguese, Dutch and who knows what else. I belong to two big families, with many uncles, aunts, cousins and relatives, who live in a number of countries, and speak quite a few languages. That might be one of the reasons I love learning new idioms, traveling and discovering different cultures (and exciting new people), and it definitely inspired me to live abroad (I have lived in 6 countries so far). I believe these facts have shaped me into someone that thrives in multicultural environments as well as into a flexible person who can communicate with many types of people.
I have a passion for communication and arts. While most of my academic career was dedicated to Communication Studies, pretty much all of my free time is dedicated to cultural activities. I was part of my High School’s drama club and nowadays I probably watch too much TV. I have tried my hand at painting and sculpting. I also visit as many museums as I can while traveling, and I travel as much as I possibly can.
Ever since I can remember, I have always loved to read and write – and someday I will finish that damn novel I have in my hard drive. Although I have always rather enjoyed taking pictures, in my twenties I discovered a passion for the activity. Both passions are currently being explored via my travel blog.
